Zane Grey described Aotearoa (New Zealand) as the Anglers El Dorado and many a fisherman since then have come to realise he knew what he was talking about. There are so many wonderful species to target and Total Safari NZ does it all! Trout fishing beautiful lakes and streams, game fishing in the blue water for Marlin and Tuna, or dropping baits onto offshore reefs for XXXL Grouper, Bass, Kingfish and Snapper.
We offer whole day, overnight, or multi-day trips and we travel all over the country targeting New Zealand's fishing hot spots. We work with only New Zealand best charter boats and have our own deadly fleet of Senator boats that are easily transportable within regions for hire. This flexibility allows us to fish multiple places or even switch coasts, it also gives us the ultimate flexibility to cope with adverse weather conditions on your trip.
We have packages for fishing the Ranfurly Banks, Inshore Bay of Plenty, White Island, Te Kaha and Waihau Bay. Further South we have Wellington and the Kapiti Coast and Marlborough Sounds. For the Trout enthusiasts we also fish the lakes and rivers of the lower and Central North Island.

Fishing in New Zealand does not get much better than around White Island.
Monster Kingfish, delicious deepwater Bluenose and Grouper and in the summer months game fish like Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Swordfish and more.
This is one of our favourite places to “wet a line”. We offer full day trips or 'live aboard' overnight charters with this area's top boats and skippers.

3-DAY Bay of Plenty
Location: Pukehina Beach
Available: Mid November - April
A 3-day trip to the beautiful Bay of Plenty region (for up to 4 people).
Targeting inshore fish such as Snapper, Kingfish Tarakihi and Trevally. Or head to Iconic offshore locations like Mayor or White island targeting trophy game fish or delicious treats from the deep.
We also cater for experienced divers/spearos with crayfish/lobster, mussels and scallops over summer. And if that was not enough, the Rotorua lakes and streams are just down the road teaming with some of the worlds largest rainbow and brown trout.

3-DAY Eastern Escape
Eastern Bay of Plenty
(Whakatane-Hicks Bay)
Available: Mid November - April
4 Day Fishing trip (for up to 5 people) to the Eastern Bay of Plenty. Fish and dive amazing locations like the world famous Ranfurly Banks, Te Kaha and Waihau Bay.
Target amazing trophy and table fish as we tour through this stunning region. Monster Grouper, Bass, Kingfish, Snapper and over the summer months (January- April) this area is a mecca for Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna and in June/July Bluefin Tuna.

Outstanding! Matt was an excellent guide with very in depth knowledge of the area and hunting in general. He was very professional and an excellent teacher when it came to showing a few of the lesser experienced lads how to stalk, dispatch and gut our kills.
